VK Modranska PROSTEJOV to play Dinamo in 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League match
VK Modranska PROSTEJOV of the Czech Republic is shortly going to be contesting with the Dinamo KAZAN belonging to Russia in a pool play match of the 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League.
The match between the two parties is scheduled to be played in the Czech city of Prostejov.
The home team has not had a sort of tournament that they would have liked as the Czech squad were faced with five defeats dealt to them back to back. The loss of the five games in a row did not earn them a suitable position in the tournament as a result
of which the Czech team will not be playing in the next phase of the tournament that is the quarter-finals.
The upcoming match for the Czech Republic can give them the opportunity to redeem themselves if they are able to rally themselves together and step up their game.
However, this may prove to be a difficult task for the Czech squad as they are up against the leader of the Pool C of the tournament. The venue of the competition between the home team and the Russians is the DDM Sports Centre.
The head coach of the Czech Republic, Miroslav Cada, expressed his views on the upcoming match of his team in the following words, “We will be fighting even though we know that Dinamo is a very strong team and in an excellent shape now. However, it chiefly
depends on us. Of course we can speculate about the attitude and motivation of Dinamo as they will finish anyway atop of the rankings, so they might not be that interested in winning this game. But I do not expect that they will underestimate us and give up
easily.”
The Dinamo squad has been going on in a tough fashion for many of its past matches. The only time that the Czech have managed to come close to defeating their Russian opponents was last year in the month of November.
The match had started off in favour of the Czech as they went up by two sets but the Russians rebounded and won the game.
