Question:

VLC Media Player Help?

Is there any way I can save a movie from the VLC Media Player? For some reason the only way I can get subtitles on this movie is through this player. I would rather watch it on my television than on my laptop, so I tried to save it so I could burn it later. Unfortunately, I didn't see a save button anywhere.

Is there no save? Or am I just not looking close enough? If I can't save this file with the subs, does anyone have a program I could download that can easily put together the movie and the subtitles like VLC?

  1. You will need to "hardcode" the subtitles into the movie so it becomes part of the image in the film. At the moment, what VLC is doing is that it reads a text file embedded in the file and then superimposing the text onto the image.

Your DVD disc player probably can't do this as it doesn't have the special features VLC has.

Unfortunately, I've never been in this kind of territory before, so all I can give you is a couple of links:
