VLC freezes when taking a snapshot?

Question

Hey! I've been trying to take snapshots of a movie I have on dvd but everytime I hit snapshot on VLC it just freezes and crashes.

Help me! Should I just try other software?

Try Gomplayer, can do what VLC player can, but is much easier to use.

For screen capture with Gomplayer

right click on player for menu, there you see Control Panel (|F7)

Click on Control Panel or press F7. Now you can make snapshots (screen captures)

After you install Gomplayer, go to preferences   --  others  -- select all

File Types   -  Codec

Do you have the latest version? The same thing happens to me on 64-bit Vista ultimate.

Try an older version, maybe 2 versions ago I had it working fine. Of course that was on 32-bit XP, not 64-bit Vista.
