VMWare Workstation 6

Question

I can't get a device using USB 1.1 to work properly with a VM within VMWARE workstation 6 under windows/XP. A regular flash thumbdrive works, but the Sage 960B tester does not communicate with its configuration application running in the VM. USB 2.0 support is supposed to work with VMWARE. I can't get support out of VMWARE. The sage works fine in the base windows/XP outside of a VM.
