VMware virtual machine Ubuntu 8.0.4 and VOIP...

I've a VMware virtual machine with Ubuntu 8.0.4 and VOIP Linphone installed. The system recognize device audio and alsa driver. If I open an Internet video the sound is OK. With Linphone no audio is present...but for the system it's all OK.Thanks for your kelp.
