Question:

VOIP hook up problems?

I have Earthlink DSL that uses PPPoE. My VOIP Provider sent me the Grandstream HandyTone 502. I've configured that device to recognize my PPPoE settings. I've hooked everything back up but internet not working and neither is the phone. I've connected using the guidelines listed in the attached link. Any help? I've been told to make my DSL modem a bridge but I'm not even sure what that means. Please help!

  1. ok, the cord that you get from the provider goes into the modem, that's the first thing you do, next you take an UTP cord and connect the modem to the router, next take the rj-11 cord and plug it into the VOIP port, next take another UTP cord and connect the router to the computer and voila it's ready.
