  1. KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL!!

that is the #1 thing every vball player should remember. if you're looking at the net, worrying about if it's going to clear it or not, you might get a bad hit on the ball. Then it's definitely not going over the net.

Some tips on underhand: when you hit the ball, be sure that your fist is kind of flat, not with your knuckles all over the place--that causes the ball to go off in all different directions. Be sure to put plenty of power into it, but don't swing, as that causes a "moon ball" and other problems.

    Best of luck!!!

  2. you follow the ball until right before you hit it then you look at the net and follow the ball with your whole body moving forward.

  3. You never look at the net and always look at the ball. Most people miss their serves because they watch where they want the ball to go, not the ball itself. Beginner tennis players have this same issue. Matter of fact, every ball sport player has this issue.

You don't take your eye off the ball before contact because you might mis-hit or miss it altogether.

The net exists, there is no need to watch it, ever. Take a look at it as you prepare to serve, then concentrate on the ball and your form only.

Serving is the only skill in volleyball where you must place all blame on yourself if it's bad.

  4. you should keep your eye on the ball and the net that's what i tried.it works very well

  5. Follow the famous saying, "keep your eye on the ball". It helps doing that. Besides the net is more of a thing where you dont REALLY have to focus on it to hit the ball over the net.

  6. you keep your eyes on the ball. If you don't then you would most likely swing and miss the ball and you could end up looking like an idiot in front of everybody there. Trust me when I started playing volleyball in 7th I did that and got all embarrass because I looked like an idiot.

  7. Keep your eyes on the ball.

You don't have to toss the ball, just hit it off your non-hitting hand, like a T-ball.

Your hitting hand should swing backward then forward to hit the ball and follow through. If the ball cannot go far enough, you will need to swing back a little more, and follow through a little more... this is like the swing in the Grandpa clock.

  8. When I first started playing volleyball, I could only serve underhand. What really helped me was to focus and follow through with the ball. When you hit the ball, concentrate on watching it to make sure it goes over the net. Otherwise, if you just watch the net, chances are you are not going to hit the ball correctly or you won't get it up high enough to go over the net. I do agree with the saying "Keep your eye on the ball." Just focus on the ball and nothing else. I hope this helps! Good Luck!

  9. As said above, keep your eyes on the ball.  In all the years I have been involved in volleyball, the net has never moved.  It will be there after you serve.  The ball is always moving and you need to watch the moving objects, not the stationary objects.

  10. both

  11. keep your eyes on the ball.

so when your serving look down at the ball then when its going over the net, still look at it
