VOTE 08, please give input!?

There are 4049 democratic delegates in the Democratic Convention, including 3,253 pledged delegates and 796 un-pledged super-delegates.

as we all know super delicates votes are no where near to the equivalence to the average person's vote.

so knowing this, do you think the the non-delegate population should vote, knowing that their vote means nothing, once the super delegates side to one candidate.

doesn't is seem pointless to you?

and i ask this in the adolescence because im 13, and i want to know how the younger voters feel towards the situation.

  1. I'm a democrat so I'm for Obama. If Hillary wouldn't have dropped out I would've been for her.

I think the general population should vote, even it doesn't mean a thing to what candidate becomes president!

    Go Obama!*

  2. obama now

but hillary before she drop out

  3. i'm 16. i consider myself a republican, but if i could vote and if Hilliary would be on the list, i would do it in a heart beat.  she is very qualified for the job and has experience, something obama doesn't, and she also sticks to her mind, she doesn't change like obama does.  i just think he's a smooth talker but knows NOTHING about running a country, that his wife wasn't proud of.  so if it's only gonna be obama ......

    GO MCCAIN!!!!!!!!!

P.S Hilliary got the most votes, the democratic process is screwed up and  she should be the big canadiate.

  4. Im 13 and for McCain

  5. Did you know Obama is for abortion?

He opposed the ban on partial-birth abortion -- a practice a fellow Democrat, the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, once called "too close to infanticide." Obama strongly criticized the Supreme Court decision upholding the partial-birth ban. In the Illinois state Senate, he opposed a bill similar to the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, which prevents the killing of infants mistakenly left alive by abortion. And now Obama has oddly claimed that he would not want his daughters to be "punished with a baby" because of a crisis pregnancy -- hardly a welcoming attitude toward new life.

    SAD...

  6. Younger voters? You cannot vote in the USA until you reach the age of 18. Maybe you mean young citizens. In any case, the popular vote is only meant to be a representation in numbers, not a means of choosing the candidate to become president. A poor system if you ask me.

  7. It doesn't really matter -- Obama has it with or without the superdelegates, and at this point, since Clinton has conceeded, it's ancient history.

The Convention has simply become a coronation ceremony -- they should really not bother wasting the money, IMHO.  Everyone knows that Obama is the candidate for the Democrats.

The REAL election isn't for another 2-1/2 months.
