what do they mean

how do you give or take them?

Thumbs up mean you like it - thumbs down , you don't

you give a thumbs up or thumbs down if you like or dislike an answer.  you give them by choosing the "interesting" button located right beneath the "answer" and "report abuse" button.  if you get a best answer, you get a point for every thumbs your answer received
