  1. Yes, I too believe that the senior iconic players still  can perhaps defy their age and prove their worth in the IPL. They may not be so young, and I know that their reflexes are much poorer than the younger players, but the thing that Laxman, Ganguly, Tendulkar and Dravid still possesses is skill, and skill is something which remains with you forever, no matter how old you grow. This has led me to believe that the senior players can also keep up to the pace in IPL. But the T20 format is new to these players, and they are having some problems due to the lack of experience of playing T20s. They are beginners, and will take their time. Once they are able to adjust themselves adequately to the 20-20 format, I think that runs would automatically come to their bats. At the same time, I too realize that perhaps it would have been better, if the seniors kept themselves out of the IPL, since they don't have the experience.

Both Dada and Dravid has already scored half centuries. Sachin hasn't played yet, but I'm sure that he will do better when he plays. I too hope that the icons of IPL-Sachin, Sourav, Laxman, and Dravid emerge as match winners, and silence their critics with their bats.

  2. Realistically lets grow up and face the truth. As much as we love the icons you mentioned it is time to move on. T20 is a blisteringly cruel sport, there is no room to feel your way into the game and worse still no time to feel sorry for yourself! From the first ball on the batsmen must think on his feet and is just not given the luxury to suss out the bowler. He has to come to the crease and start cracking the ball to all open spaces of the park. Of the four names you mentioned, I for one always felt Dada would be the one to rise to the occasion and take the new format by the scruff of its neck and show the world how it is done. I am a Knight Rider supporter and I shall keep having a go till they get the hang of this newfangled T20 format!

  3. i think they will and they are doing

  4. I think they are doing well.

If their team lets them down, they cannot help it.

  5. yeah it would be nice

  6. laxman seems to be settling into the T20 format now, dravid is only just getting his head around it now but to be fair the format doesnt suit him, ganguly is struggling and has not been impressive so far, tendulkar well you cant make comment on him in the IPL cos he hasnt played yet

  7. They are on their last stage of the career for IPL matches. So we should wish them best of luck.

  8. Sachin is the most suitable among them to succeed if he is fully fit.

  9. The truth is if they were comfortable playing this format they would  have not opted out of T20 world cup.

Viru and UV are fit to play this fast cricket go bang bang and that could be the reason you have not mentioned their names,

So you me and every one knows the answer but Hope keeps them alive in IPL.
