Reports from Abe Lenstra Stadion confirm that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VVV-Venlo-c40915 forward, Yanic Wildschut, before the ongoing summer transfer window slams shut.
The 20-year-old, who arrived at De Koel Stadion in the summer of 2011 after making 33 league appearances for FC Zwolle, had an impressive 2011/12 season. The youngster netted seven goals while setting up seven more in 29 Eredivisie
games, and helped his side finish away from the relegation zone.
His consistent showings at the left flank have not gone unnoticed, as Heerenveen have earmarked the former Zwolle attacker as a perfect replacement for Oussama Assaidi, who could be leaving the club to join Ajax Amsterdam in the
coming days.
The VVV managing director, Hans Soentjens, has confirmed that the Friesland outfit has expressed interest in luring the youngster away from De Koel Stadion, but he has admitted that his side does not want to lose the starlet this
summer.
“Heerenveen are interested. We have made it clear that we will talk, as Yanic is open for a move away. But we have no intentions of losing him this summer”, Soentjens was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
The VVV chief then went on to insist that if the Friesland outfit are seriously interested in signing the 20-year-old forward, then they have to come with an offer we cannot turn down.
“Yanic is under contract at VVV for two more seasons, and we can certainly use him this season. But if Heerenveen really wants to sign him, then they should come with a good price. Otherwise, we are not interested in selling him”,
Soentjens concluded.
Wildschut has a contract at De Koel Stadion that runs until the summer of 2014. The Venlo outfit do not want to let go of their prized asset this summer. However, reports indicate that an offer in the region of four million Euros
could be enough to tempt the VVV management to sell their star player in the ongoing summer transfer window.
