The car idles fine but when you press the accelerator the engine will not rev. I think it is an "electric" type This is an intermittent fault and will rectify itself . I assume there is some kind of electrical connection from the pedal to the diesel pump. Any suggestions please ?

  1. more likely the ''fly by wire'' bit on the pedel is at fault...never messed about with one yet....im asuming it works like the old skalextrix controlers...try a blast with some comptressed air,....failing that a replacement from a brakers is in order...

  2. The safest solution is to take it to a mechanic and tell them the problem.
