VW air cooled/throwout bearing?

Question

On a '70 model beetle,are u supposed to put a light coat of grease on the throwout bearing where it contacts the pressure plate? High temp type or what?

not sure on transmission stuff, but you can surf on over to www.thesamba.com and get the proper answer from an experienced air cooled vw guy in no time.  great site if you have an aircooled vw and need advice.
