Thinking of a vacation to the US. Really want to go to Alabama and the southern states.

Alabama. Whats it like there? When should I visit? Where can I stay?

Who seves the best beer and southern fried chicken?

Which other southern states to visit (excluding Florida)?

  1. Well Alabama hes several very good vacation destinations.

    Huntsville and the Space and Rocket center.

    Dothan is good during the "National Peanut Festival" in the fall.

    The beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are good.

    There are some places in Birmingham worth a look including "Barbers Motorsports Park"

    Then Talladega twice a year.

    Other states worth visiting(other than Florida) would be Tennessee,Georgia and South Carolina.North Carolina also is worth a venture to.

    As for Beer and Chicken I'm not quailified to answer since I don't drink.


  2. PAPABILL listed some of the really good things to see. I would add that if you enjoy golf, Alabama has a boatload of great courses along the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
