Vacation in Cancun Aug. 2007?

Question

Hey, We are going to cancun next week, aug. 15- 20. I see its supposed to rain ALL day, how is the rain there right now??? Should I push my trip back we have a lot of stuff planned, ATV and speedboats, horseback on the beach, swimming with dolphins etc... please help!!!

I've living in cancun 8 years, I learned never believe to this guys at any weather channel, they just can't get it...  The weather here changes from minute to minute but bad weather never last more than 2 days, still with rain the temperature is quite much better than anywere else, so you still can get in the pools, beach etc...  

You will be dissapointed by changing your vacation dates, dare to do it it will be worth

don't do anything crazy yet. find out if the rain is supposed to be just a chance of showers or something more. in summer, daytime heating often sparks rain showers. they are usually short and very spotty. but try and get a more descriptive forecast than just seeing a picture of a rain cloud covering the suns happy face. chance of showers is good. rain all day is bad.

i would go ahead with your trip, when i went to cancun i looked on line to see the weather, it said it was supposed to be raining when i got there, it wasn't it was just cloudy and the sun came out after a little while.  while it did rain a little while i was there, the rain only lasted a few minutes and then the sun came out.  it didn't rain heavy either just some light rain.
