  1. I would say Barcelona. It's very touristic city full with Tourist, scam and pickpocket. Many places are worth to visit. I will give you an example;

    - Parc guell: the nice beautiful park uphill which is the work of famous architect Antoni Gaudi. Don't miss the Lizard!!

    - Very colorful Las Ramblas: The walking street fulls with people and street artists combined with many shops and resturants. It's also different in day and night. Check it out!!

    - Gothic quarter: the historic walking area

    - Manument a colon (Columbus) in the bay area

    - Cathedral de la Seu:Spectacular Gothic church located in the heart of the Barri Gothic.

    I wouldn't recommend you to get inside Sagrada Familia. It's not worth for the entrance fee. It's not finished yet. Better look from outside or postcard.

    PS: Must see place in Madrid is Royal palace

  2. I visited both places, I really like Barcelona much better. Madrid was to much hustle and bustle, I found the people there to be really snotty. But there are alot of neat places to visit in Madrid, the Prado museum was very nice. Barcelona was good, I caught a bullfight there, the people were a little better there.

  3. Travel to Spain Barcelona as it now has every leisure and sports facility possible since 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. Explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada Família Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelo... for more details.

  4. Barcelona coz Its more colorfull and more romantic :)

  5. Pone la loción en su piel -- hace esto siempre que se diga...

  6. I feel in love with Madrid!!

    Barcelona is amazing as well... depends really in what you want to see. Barcelona is more cosmpolitan and more modern, it feels more Europe, everything is newer and its next to the beach. The architecture its a classic..

    Madrid feels older, and more "sophisticated", you have great museums El Prado, Thyssen '-Bornemizsa, Reina Sofía., also interesting to visit is the Parc "del buen retiro" where there is always live free presentations of theater, dance, music, etc. The palaces, and very important monuments for the history of Spain..

    my best advice its to picture what you want to see and visit and check on the internet for pictures of what the cities can offer to you.

  7. Actually, I would recommend Valencia if you're talking about March 2007.  I live in Valencia and there is a lot going on in March. (Madrid and Barcelona are great choices too - Barcelona is beautiful). First there's the beaches and spring break, you can take a quick boat ride to Ibiza (party island) from the city.  Second there's Las Fallas. It's a five day long festival that attracts like 2.5 million ppl.  Basically there are fireworks and floats and statues are burned in the streets at night, lots of life and fun. Finally, there's The Americas Cup, hosted in Valencia this year. ( I think it starts April 3rd). The city is going to be totally catering to tourist this spring bc of all the extra people the Americas cup is bringing in.  There's also Europe's largest Aquarium and the art and science museums at l'hemispheric.  Just a different suggestion, hope this helps somewhat if your heart isn't totally set on Barcelona or Madrid yet :) --And if you decide on Valencia tell me bc I miss speaking English with ppl!!!!!!
