Vacation in santa barbara CA?

i would like to spend my long weekend in Santa Barbara, this is my first time there, which hotel should i stay (with reasonable price)and what activities that are a MUST?

The Madonna Inn is a great hotel and very fun, but it's not in Santa Barbara.  It is located in San Luis Obispo which is about 2 hours north of Santa Barbara.  Look in the downtown area of Santa Barbara so that you're right where the action is.  Lots of quaint hotels that are right on the main street, and you'll be within walking distance of the pier, the shops and restaurants.

Take a day trip up to Solvang and do some wine tasting in Los Olivos.  You won't be sorry.  Have fun!

You should try to get reservations at Madonna Inn. Each room has a different theme it is really nice. If you do stay their request the Caveman Room they have 109 rooms. The only problem is that the cheapest room is $180. It depends on what you would want to do so look at this website bellow it has everything that you can do in santa barbara. But the beach is a must.
