Vacation in the Tampa area

Question

I am heading up to the Tampa area in a few weeks, and I would like a resort on the beach, with really nice amenities. It must be close enough (30 minutes or so) from Busch Gardens. I have found a few but I want some ideas from frequent visitors or folks who live in the area....

Tampa is not like Orlando. Busch Gardens is in an area with traffic all the time due to USF and general commuters. There are no Resorts near bush Gardens. The Beach closest to BG is 30min on a great day to 45min average day away.  A nice hotel is the Hilton on the Courtney Campbell Causeway, Tampa Fl 33607 [phone].
