  1. I've lived in Key West, FL. and that is a big tourist destination. Tons of cool places to stay, and hundreds of places to go to dinner and afterhours. No curfews, no dresscodes, sometimes no clothes, haha. It's beautiful. It is only 8 square miles, so it is impossible to get lost. As for flights, you should check out the different rates between flying straight into Key West, or renting a car in Miami and driving straight down. Sometimes it is cheaper to just fly straight in. Also, I've vacationed in Hawaii, and the Bali Hai Villas in Princeville, Kauai was amazing. The island of Kauai is gorgeous, and it is very easy to navigate. Tropical paradise. Long flight and not cheap, but worth it. Have fun.

  2. Hawaii. Its more of a romantic honeymoon destination than Florida. Plus Florida is so inexpensive you can go anytime. Expedia and travelocity have good package deals and every so often has discounts on Hawaii trips. Vacationstogo is also a good site that offers deals on vacations. Also try budget travel website they have a list of real deals to various locations, which they update weekly. Hawaii can be expensive, so as soon as you find a package you feel is reasonable, book it.

  4. December is a great time to travel.  It's off-season most places so it's less expensive.

I travel a pretty good amount.  I almost always use these websites for airfares and hotels.

    www.expedia.com

    www.kayak.com (great for searching airfare!)

www.go-today.com mostly for cheap packages to Europe, but check them out for Hawaii.  they might have something.

Actually the best time to book for great prices is about 5-8 weeks in advance, because they're trying to sell out packages and hotels.  At least that's what I've found.  But if you see something good in your price range, buy it now, and you can have it paid for well in advance, and by the time you go, it will feel like it's free!

I also say, go someplace really special.  I'd pick Hawaii over Florida (or even Greece or Italy or Spain) simply because, once you're married and the kids start coming, you will keep putting it off and putting it off, and never do it.  It's the perfect time to take your dream trip.

Congratulations, and have a great time.
