Hi ladies,

How do you view Aruba after the Natalee Holloway case ? I know bad things happen, but as westerners, we demand and expect justice and truth; which clearly have not been done by the Arubans.

Any of Natalee's friends on here ? I know you are boycotting Aruba. I would like to know your thoughts on this too.

**Note**: For some strange reason, whenever I see any question that is meant specifically for women, I can almost always find a good number of men answering them too. Guys, please stay away from this one, okay ?

Thank you very much for your time and effort.

God Bless.

  1. Nice Vacation spot, but I'd be a little scared to go there.

  2. I think what happened to Natalee could  have happened anywhere.  You just have to teach your daughter to make the right choices and going off away from her friends was not  the right choice.   I think as young girls we all make mistakes but this one cost her.

  3. I don't believe that the Arubian Polis or their government hid anything. When in Aruba, the presence of the US government is very apparent. We have US Customs in Aruba as well as the US Air Force. How much more could we ask of a country? The FBI, Natalee's family and a multitude of search teams were allowed on th island. This sort of crime happens in the US every day and there is no where near the publicity, in fact LA has a homicide report on the web...they don't even publish missing or homicides in the paper.

I have no fear when visiting the island. The Aruba Polis Visibility Team is there specifically for the safety and security of the tourists. We don't have that here! Natalee committed a cardinal error, never go alone with someone you don't know. And what about her girlfriends? why aren't they held accountable? they should never have let her go, period.

I am not boycotting Aruba, nor do I blame them.

Natalee screwed up, got involved with things unknown, ends up missing or dead, this is partially her fault for putting herself in a bad situation. Partially her friends fault. And of course the perpetrator is ultimately at fault but there are bad people in every city and country.

Why is everyone so hard on Aruba? If this death had occured in Saudi Arabia, what would their government do or allow? Aruba has different laws than the US. We go there, we live with their rules, their laws, their justice. If they come here, they live with ours.
