Before I sign up, I'm trying to get as much details as I can before I actually join. I know you get around 10 days, I assume after boot camp. How many more days do you get yearly?

  1. You earn 30 days each year.  When you can take it and how much you can take at any one time will be up to your chain of command.

  2. You earn 30 days of leave per year and usually get between 2-4 days off for federal holidays.

  3. As a ex-marine corp wife, im not real sure how much more vacation you get but think of it this way, you get to travel to so many places that it is almost like vacation because after you put in your 8-5 then you are normally free to come and go as you choose....depending on where you are you could go to the beach or sight see or whatever you feel like.

  4. You get 30 days per year.  You earn (or accrue) leave at a rate of 2 and a half days per month.  You can't take leave until you've accrued it.

Also, don't assume you can take your accrued leave after boot camp.  You'll probably have to go straight to your technical training.  Those training courses start at regular intervals, and all the students have to be there... so they can't hold things up while a few of them take leave.  You're still in training status at that point, and still have restrictions.

  5. In the military you earn 2.5 days of leave off each month, totaling 30 days each year.  When you take leave it will include weekends and holidays, which is why you get 30 days per year.  You will get some long weekends and other ones you will work.

You do not always get 10 days leave when you have finished boot camp because you have not earned 10 days of leave yet.  You also may need to report to school immediately.

  6. The military across all branches give you 30 days a year.  period.  Whether that is granted depends on the manpower situation at the time you are requesting.   In regards to federal Holidays, again that depends on the type of job you had.  I didn't get holidays off unless I just happened to be scheduled.
