Vacation to La Paz?

I'm planning a Grad trip to La Paz Mexico with a bunch of girlfriends. I was cruising around looking at different flights and hotels when it donned on me. I'm a total shop-a-holic and was wondering what the price ranges were and how much money (in Canadian dollars) I should plan on taking? And advice?

Just a comment about airfares...I believe you will find you get much cheaper airfare if you fly into Cao instead of LaPaz.  Then yu can take a bus up to La Paz if you like...they run frequently all day and are very cheap.  But, as the other answerer said, you might be happier just going to Cabo.

Hola  I'm a canadian girl living in Cabo (about 2 hours south of La Paz)  I go to La Paz alot.  Um, I'm not too sure why you picked La Paz to visit?  What was it you were looking to do?  

La Paz is a working city, not so much a tourist town (although its getting better).  Shopping?  We used to have to go to La Paz if we wanted to buy nice shoes or hit Dorians to get some okay clothing.  But now, in Cabo we have all the shopping we need, so we don't bother going up there.  What did you want to shop for?  Our whole area isn't really a deal anymore as far as shopping goes.  Prices are pretty close to what we pay in Canada.  So I'm confused.  Can you tell me more what you are wanting to do?
