Vacation to france, looking for lots of information?

just wondering what is the best time of the year to travel to paris? also the part of the year where it is cheaper to travel there. how exspensive is it there? is it cheaper to stay in a motel outside of the city, if so, which cities would you reccomend that are close to paris? or what motels would you reccomend that are of good quality and cheap prices?

Stay in the city. The saving you'll get by staying in the suburbs (if any) will be negated by the time and expense of using metro.

There used to be real affordable rooms in Paris if you can deal with not having a toilet in your room.

Don't go during tourist season (summer) unless you want to see tourists and plane tickets are usually more expensive during the Christmas season. Otherwise, weather is unpredictable so... who knows. May is my personal choice though.

By the way, there are no motels in France.

The best time of the year is either the late Spring or the early fall.

The very cheapest times to travel would be the late fall, winter,  or very early spring.

It is a very big mistake and a false economy to stay outside the city limits of Paris. While public transportation is excellant and inexpensive the minor savings cannot justify the inconvenience.

Paris is one of the most affordable Western European capitals and hotel rooms in the city center can easily be found for100 euros or less for a double.

Generally these will be in establishments that are quite charming although usually lacking things like minibars, cable TV, elevators, ice machines, and the other accoutraments of the usual Holiday Inn in Omaha. But then I hope you're not going to Paris to sleep or sit in your room and watch TV.

I'm french and I living next to Paris in Normandy !!!

You can go to France ,when you want , so in Paris it's magic, I love this city, at christmass , in summer, for spring, in autumn.

But in summer many many tourists ! and it's hot, but it's sure you havre a good weather.

For a food , fast food , pizza, french restaurant , india, china, japoneese.....no probleme, but gastronomy is expensive, you can eat escargot ( but many french hate...me too ), you can eat cheeses....

Oh I love " sandwicherie" it's very goog, french sandwich, "hum trop bon"  with french bread !!!

The most for sleep , it's sleep in Paris , because Paris is big city .

You can go to Euro Disney land ....

all the year is nice to visit paris, but summer and end of december are nice but personaly i prefere the end of december, its a bit like in the movies with the Xmas athmospher :D

it will be cheaper maybe the 2 other seasons.

the motels don't existe here, we say hostel and its cheaper yes but you'll need to rent a car cause thats in places without bus.

The one with the best quality is B&B (bed and breakfast), you can go on the internetsites and in english i'm sur
