We'll me and my friend are planning to fly to France,Paris. We are both 16, and we're wondering if we could fly and live in a hotel by ourself in Paris. Or do we need an adult? Can anyone please answer my question. Thanks

  1. Assuming you are an American you are a child. You cannot travel out of the country without your parents permission. You would be stopped before even getting on the plane.

EDIT: Anyone under the age of 17 who is flying alone on an international flight must have a signed note from a parent or responsible adult giving permission, destination and length of stay.

The age of majority in France is 18.

  2. I have been to Paris twice...I lived in Germany so...

Well anyways...It is kind of scary in soem parts of Paris. Try to find an (at least) 4-5 star hotel. Any under that are REALLY bad.

Try to get close to the places that you want to see. Walking is ALOT easier then taking the subway believe it or not.

For some reason alot of pickpocketers target Americans. So keep your possesions CLOSE!!!! No baggy pants and stuff!!!!

Well if you have any other questions just e-mail me at
