  1. I'll say Quebec City.  The city has just celebrated its 400th birthday  and there are a lot to see. On your way up you can make a stop at Kingston and take a cruise around 1000 islands.  A detour off highway 401 north on highway 416 will lead you to the capital city, Ottawa.  If you like shopping and fashion, you will not miss Montreal either.  Have a wonderful trip.

  2. Seriouseley, if you have not been to Montreal, do not second guess for a "second".  It is a must see, for all and everyone.  So is Quebec city, but four days for both, No.

    Other than that

If you are a city, night life, cultural centre type of person, regretfully, we all know that we are talking about only Ottawa, within a driving distance.

If nature, relaxation, a beer on a patio, etc will do it for you try

Muskoka region, a lot lake side small, and funky towns.

    OR

Drive to Kingston, do the 1000 Islands cruise, drive up to Sandbank Provencial park (The best sand and beach in Ontario).  And if you go there, make sure to check out the lake of two mountains (ask the locals, or the tourist office), you will be amazed and puzzeled at the same time.

  4. Ottawa, Montreal or Quebec City. It depends where you're been and what interests you.

    Ottawa - historical stuff

    Montreal - good time partying

Quebec City - Old Quebec is beautiful.

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay, you can find cheap rooms for a couple nights at University residences in all of these cities.
