Vacationing when he wants to party and she wants to relax?

I'm planning a vacation with my fiance but we can't decide where to go/what hotel to stay in because he wants to be in the center of everything and party, I on the otherhand, want a nice quiet beachfront resort away from all the hoopla. We can't seem to come to a happy medium. Any suggestions?
