Vacations To Go booking?

How do you book a cruise at vacationstogo.com? I know how to find the cruise and stuff, but how do you book and comfirm a ticket through that website? I see a phone number at the bottom of the page. Should I call that number to book it? Also, if you actually did book a cruise from that website, does it include everything what the regular booking includes, such as transportation, dining, adn activities? And, could you book shore excursions from that website?

And, just for other info, how many days do you consider it to be too late to book your cruise/excursions prior to embarkation?

  1. Actually you can book shore excursions before you board, though not through VacationsToGo.

Once you have your booking number, go to the cruise line's website, enter your number in the proper spot and this will bring up a list of shore excursions.  You must book your ship's excursions a certain number of days ahead [e.g. 7 days] or else wait until you get on board.  Usually, you can wait until you get on board, although if there is an excursion that you feel you MUST do, you should book it ahead of time just to be sure.

You do not have to book excursions through the ship, by the way, but there are several things to know if you don't.  The main one being, DO NOT be late getting back to the ship, or they will leave without you.  Also, do your research ahead of time, so you know which ports are "safe" and easy [e.g. Cayman, Cozumel] and which ones aren't [e.g. Jamaica].  You can get info about shore excursions at CruiseCritic.com.  Click on "Boards", then "Ports of Call", then your ports.

  2. I used work for them for a couple of years and you just call them. Call and ask for Scott, he's great or Brock or Rosanne--lol

No, you cannot book shore excursions through them, you book them through the cruise line itself.

  3. Vacationstogo I hate, dont use them, I suggest contacting these agency below, for 1 they will be cheaper and dont charge any cancellation fees, etc

  4. I've called the number and booked my trips.  The trip price does not include vouchers for travel between the airport and the port.  You can book that separately, but you are often better off arranging for your own transportation between the airport and the seaport, particularly for groups.  Taxicabs transport several people for the price of one, and shuttle buses might be cheaper or the same price, but they will offer more comfort.

Dining is including on all cruises, except specialty dining and extras that are additional cost items true of any passengers.  Shore tours cannot be booked through them; you should be able to reserve them in advance through the cruise line though.

Personally, I think two months in advance is about the right time to book as the fares drop as low as they are going to about that time.  As for excursions, it is going to depend on the popularity of it.  I book few shore trips; only special things I really want and can't get otherwise (a swim with dolphins was probably and Xcaret was probably the best).

  5. When I booked mine last spring, I called the number and spoke to an  agent. I then got his extension and if I had any questions I could call him directly. He was very helpful and professional. Bon Voyage!

  6. This is a very good website. I went to Mexico through then this Spring Break and i had no problems. But dont be afaird to call and ask them any questions you would like they are a very nice bussiness. And no you cant book Shore excursions you do that when you get on the cruise.
