Vaction wise: mexico or honduras?

Mexico has more variety just because the country is bigger but I would not consider it safer than honduras. Honduras and Mexico both have quaint little towns, big industrialized cities, beatiful beaches, mayan history... so it goes back to what do you want to do?

Mexico!

Honduras is a very beautiful country but is for sure more dangerous respect to Mexico. Honduras has got amazing beaches like Truijllo, and the Islands of the bay Roatán, Guanaja e Utila are really a paradise. But Mexico is one of my favourite places in the world, i love all of this country, the people, the cuisine,the history, the way of life.The states of Chiapas, Oaxaca and Yucatan, once in life deserve a visit.

Both countries are beautiful and have their own unique sites to see. What are your reasons for deciding between these two countries?

It depends on what you want to do. Mexico is much bigger and more to see than Honduras. I am not mexican but  this is a so very nice country to visit but now this time of the year it rains too much in both places.
