Ok, I've owned a Bissel (Spell Check) for about 3 years, which was a bagless. Now, I'm looking for the best vacume cleaner in the market available. I don't intend spending extra $'s for something that a cheaper vac could do that job too..hence looking for the best...I've seen a informerical abou this vace a couple of weeks ago ( not sure about the name) its got this system where the dust collects straight into a water container, did make sense cause the dust gets trapped into the water and hence doen't get released back in the air along with all its buddies the bacteria's etc....so - whats your thoughts? and do you know what the name of the vac. with the water is ???

  1. These systems have been available for quite some time.  The good ones are very expensive.  Go online to www.consumerreports.com and type in vacuum cleaners.  They have an extensive report.  It costs about $6 for a month's use of the site which is well worth the money.

Ratings Report Card   for the Thane H2O SA861-80 (water filter)

    Highs

This model was excellent at cleaning bare floors and very good at keeping emissions low.

There is a user's recommendation online, too.  She mentioned how cleaning the water filter is "yucky," but liked that dirt didn't get back into the air.

    Lows

The Thane was only fair at cleaning carpets and had poor airflow for cleaning with tools. It is fairly noisy and hard to handle. It lacks a retractable cord.

  2. I have a Dyson and I love it!!! It is also a bagless vacume. They are pretty pricey, but I think they are worth the money. THey have a lifetime gurantee that they will never loose suction!!!

The water vacume sounds like it would be a hassle to deal with and possibly make bigger messes. Changing dirty water doesnt sound inviting to me.
