Question:

Vacuum is broken, and the floor needs to be cleaned. Any ideas?

The belt on the vacuum we have broke, and the one my uncle bought is too small.

Our floor needs to be vacuum'd badly since we were using glitter last night, and it got all over the floor.

What other ideas besides using a broom could I try? (and tape, because there's too much glitter on the floor to do that)

  1. Look in the garage for a shopvac!  It's perfect for picking up glitter... Or borrow a neighbors vacuum....

In the future cover the floor with a an old vinyl tablecloth while using glitter... Glitter will just sweep right off...

  2. Dustpan and broom

  3. you can sweep carpet. A stiff broom works best. You have to sweep the dirt away though as you can't really pick it up with a pan and brush

  4. suck it up

  5. Wrap the tape around your shoes, sticky side out

    Then just walk around.

Without a vacuum it's your best bet.

  6. Hmmm, a rubber broom?

Get something rubber to pic the pieces up.

It might work it might not i haven't tried it.

You could try a normal room and do the best job you can.

Otherwise there really isn't any other alternative to a vaccuum.

  7. I would ask a family member or good neighbour to borrow theirs, or go spend 6 bucks on a new belt.

  8. sweep it

  9. TRY HOUSHOLD RUBBER GLOVES!
