v****a is dry and itchy, but doctors can't find any yeast!!?

I'm only 22, but for the last 9 months or so I've been having problems with my v****a being dry, irritated, and itchy on and off (mostly on). I've been to the doctor half a dozen times and they've tested me for just about everything and can't find anything wrong. The most I got from any of the doctors was that my skin down there was just really dry and that I should put lotion (like Eucarin) on it. I was wondering if it's possible at my age to be having some sort of hormonal problem. I've noticed my s*x drive has diminished these last few months, but it might be directly related to my problem. If anyone has any experience with this or has any ideas, please let me know!

  1. Have them look for hops.

  2. If you are not married, you should not be banging.

  3. Vaginal dryness and irritation is usually the result of a contact irritant, irregular hormone levels, or both.  If you are on any type of hormonal contraceptive (birth control pills, patch, ring, depo shots) this can lead to increased vaginal dryness.  If you are not on any type of hormone-based birth control, it could still be hormonal, but this is unlikely because of your age.

Contact irritants include harsh or purfumed soaps, which can dry and irritate the sensitive tissues of the genital area.  Even soaps and cleansers "designed for feminine hygeine" can be irritating - you could be sensitive to any of the ingredients.  Plain water is the best way to cleanse your genital area.  Avoid too much scrubbing and stay away from perfumey bubble baths.  Try swiching to a gentler detergent for your laundry (that is, your underpants) and give them an extra rinse.

If you use any type of lubricant (lubricated condoms, etc) you may be sensitive to the ingredients in those.  Ditto anything else that comes into contact with that area - scented tampons and/or pads.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Could be Bacterial Vaginosis

    or Trichoma...

but i would think the doctor would have noticed that

Google these two and find out more about it.

Also, if your v****a is dry, it might help to apply milk to the area. It's a sort of remedy I made up myself and it even helps with the itchy feeling for a while (however, only until it fully dries)

  5. sometimes dryness and lack of s*x drive is the side effect of some form of birth control that you might be using if you are using one....

  6. Could it be allergies to something?

Maybe soap, if you are sensitive to soap and perfume that might be the problem.

Also when I was younger I thought that I must have a yeast infection because my v****a was itchy, turns out that I'm allergic to latex. Fancy that. If you use latex condoms that could be the problem. Also a lot of women are allergic to certain types of personal lubricants.

  7. Have you been proscribed any medication nine months ago that you're still taking?  It could be a reaction to it if you are.  If not, try using KY jelly to keep yourself moist.  It could also be a reaction to the material in your under wear and if you don't wear under wear, that could be the problem too.  My wife had these problems a couple of years ago.  They finally went away.  Hers was a reaction to the laundry soap she used to wash our clothes.
