  1. There are really ups and downs to both. Vail is very, very crowded in general. However, it has a larger area, and much more nightlife. Breck will not be as crowded as Vail, but it still has an excellent variety of terrain for everyone. In any case, for families, I would suggest Breckenridge. If it is just yourself, I would go check out Vail. Happy Skiing!
