Valbchek eying a strong run in Scarbrough Stakes (Listed Race)
Valbchek will be looking to return back to form by winning the Scarbrough Stakes (Listed Race) at Doncaster in England on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. He is young and energetic, which means that it will not be a good idea to rule him out of contention
from the class-1 encounter.
A total of 13 entries have been listed for the 5 furlong event, which is scheduled to start at 15:05 GMT. Speed will be extremely crucial for all the participants, as they will not stand a chance of winning, if they do not put the hammer down right from
the start of the proceedings.
Luckily, the weather has been good at Doncaster over the past few days, thus the £23,680 will not be affected by rain at all. Due to this, the going has remained good to firm, which means that the track will be pretty quick today.
A lot of good trainers have shown interest in this race and they will be looking to walk away with the prize money in the end. However, things will not be simple for any of them, as the competition is going to be a tough one.
None of the stallions has been in dominant form over the past few events, which means that anyone could hit a jackpot in the end. This is not an ideal situation for the punters, but they do have a couple of solid options, whom they can rely upon.
One of them is Sole Power, who has been given the best odds for victory, despite his lacklustre run in his previous outing. He has got some useful experience though and might manage to bring that into play today.
However, Valbchek will be looking to steal the show at Doncaster with his express speed. He is not much experienced, but that does not mean that he lacks talent to deliver a winning result.
The three-year-old colt has participated in three races, winning a couple of them. He was unable to make a strong impression last time around, but he should be able to bounce back, as he is the son of former sprinter, Acclamation, who made his team proud
on numerous occasions.
The Jeremy Noseda’s trainee will be partnered by veteran jockey, William Buick, who knows how to tackle pressure.
