The Catalan goal-stopper was in favour of Spain’s style of play and said that it is normal for the Spanish national team to adopt http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604’s footballing philosophy.
Spain were crowned as European champions for the second consecutive time in 4 years. It is for the first time that a team has managed to retain its European title and all thanks to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Del Bosque and his players, they have managed to write their names
in the history books.
For the past four years, Spain have been dominating the world of football.
It all started four years ago when Spain entered Euro 2008. Even though they were not the favourites to win the competition back then, they were still considered to be a strong side.
La Furia Roja were able to impress throughout the tournament and they faced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707.
Later, Spain entered the FIFA World Cup 2010, which took place in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Switzerland-c3016 and that gave the footballing
fans a reason not to support Spain.
The Spaniards were still able to qualify for the next round and later qualified for the final of the prestigious competition where they faced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753.
Both the teams were able to put up a great spectacle of football but a goal from Andres Iniesta late into extra-time helped http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 win the final.
After that, Spain entered Euro 2012 and were again favourites to reach the final of the tournament. With Villa and Puyol out injured, many thought that Spain might not win the tournament. However, with their tiki-taka footballing philosophy, Spain were able
to win the prestigious competition, becoming the first team in the history of the competition to retain its European title.
Victor Valdes recently spoke about the footballing philosophy which is being followed by La Furia Roja. Many football purists understand that Spain and Barcelona follow almost the same tactics and Valdes thinks this is normal since the Spanish national team
has a lot of players who play for Barcelona.
While speaking about the footballing philosophy, Valdes said:
“I think the philosophy of the Barcelona game has become very attractive over the past four years, and now Spain play in a similar way. It is normal because a lot of the Barcelona players play for Spain.”
Spain will now be defending their world title after two years as the FIFA World Cup 2014 kicks off in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858.
