After facing a defeat at the hands of Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg, Valdes believes Barcelona still have time to prove themselves in the second leg.
Barcelona faced Chelsea in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final. The Catalan giants were favourites to win against a crises-struck Chelsea; however, they were held at the Stamford Bridge as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044 scored the only goal of the game
to give Chelsea a 1-0 victory over the Spanish champions.
La Blaugrana went to London to face a stern test in the shape of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. With La Blaugrana playing the fixture at the back of 11 consecutive victories in the Spanish La Liga, they were the favourites to win the tie.

It was indeed Chelsea who managed to make the most out of the competitive fixture, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ramires-c30523 laying down a perfect assist for Didier Drogba, who scored from his left foot right in the dying moments of the first half.
Speaking about the game against Chelsea, Victor Valdes came out in the open to tell his team-mates that they still stand a chance with the only the first leg over.
The Spanish goal stopper said that Barcelona can still prove themselves in the European competition as they second leg is still left to play.
“We still have 90 minutes to prove that we deserve to be in the final! Take heart, we still have a lot of time to finish off this crucial week! Força Barça.

“In the return leg, we’ll create goal scoring chances and we’ll work just as hard as we did today. We created a lot of  chances against a team that closed themselves off very well at the back and that needs to be valued. We have to try and win the return leg
at all cost.

“We have to focus on this Saturday’s match.”
Before facing Chelsea next week in the UEFA Champions League semi-final, Barcelona are to face their arch-rivals, Real Madrid, in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday.
