The Spanish giants are hoping to sign Chelsea’s midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oriol-c28659 Romeu. Sitting on only two points, losing one match and drawing two more, the Spanish team may need some fresh blood on the pitch.
With Chelsea winning the UEFA Champions League last year, it is very much obvious that their players were in demand during the transfer season.
While Essien moved to Real Madrid, it seems like there is another La Liga club hoping to get a blue player.
Valencia are willing to offer the player regular game-time, which Chelsea were not providing Romeu. And being a product of Barcelona’s youth system, the player is already accustomed to Spanish style football.
Being a member of Barcelona’s youth club, the young defensive midfielder was sold to Chelsea last year for 5 million Euros.
In his deal, Barcelona also had a first refusal via a buy-back clause, and Barcelona will have to pay 10 million Euros if they want to see him back at the Camp Nou.
The young player made his first debut for the blues on the 10th of September 2011, as a 79th minute substitute in Chelsea’s 2-1 away victory over Sunderland.
He then made his first starting debut on the 21st of September 2011,  in a Football League Cup game against Fulham. The match ended 0-0 and had to be decided on penalties which the Blues ended up winning.
He played a full ninety minutes in his first Champions League match on the 19th of October 2011, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 won the game 5-0 against K.R.C Genk.
He played his first Premier League game for Chelsea against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the 26th of November 2011, which Chelsea won 3-0 at home.
He played the next match against Newcastle United at St James Park, which also resulted in a 3-0 win for the blues.
The Spaniard has also represented his country multiple times in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Junior-c20060 teams.
Romeu left Barcelona in order to get more minutes on the pitch, however, it seems as though Chelsea are not providing him enough game-time either.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 not doing so good, they have decided to wait until January, when the transfer season opens up again, and see whether Romeu’s position has changed.
If it has, and if they still need him, they are willing to provide the young Spaniard with regular game-time.
