Valencia’s Juan Mata edges closer to Arsenal move – Premier League News
According to a recent flurry of reports, it seems like Valencia winger and Spanish international, Juan Mata is soon going to be on his way to Arsenal.
The twenty three year old forward has been linked with a move to the Emirates, for nearly a month now, but it seems like this time around, he might just end up in North London.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 Boss, Unai Emery had gone on to admit that Mata could potentially leave the team, should a decent offer be made for the player.
Mata recently went on to help http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 to an Under – 21 European Championship, which has seen his market value go up.
According to a number or sources, Arsenal have reached a mutual agreement over the player’s transfer. At the same time, a number of other sources claim that the forward has gone on to tell his family and friends that he is on the brink of moving to London.
Nonetheless, it also seems like Arsenal are not alone in their chase for the Spanish forward. Manchester City, who seem to have failed to get their hands on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 and Ashley Young are looking to land Mata.
According to most experts, Valencia are going to hold out on a price around the region of seventeen million pounds.
Should http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 actually go ahead and land the winger, then they would smash their club transfer record, which is currently set around fourteen million pounds.
At the same time, one needs to question whether another winger is actually what Arsenal need. The team had ample forwards at the moment and if anything, their offensive department is hailed to be one of the best in the world. On the other hand, their defence
is something that could use some serious attention.
The Gunners have been wanting to land a decent centre back for nearly two seasons now, but for some odd reason, they are looking to go over the top and spend big on attackers, rather than spending it on solidifying their back line.
That being said, Mata could potentially help Arsenal get an extra dimension to their offensive department. The team currently don’t possess a winger, who is a natural left footer and hence Mata could be the ideal player, to fill in that requirement.
The forward is also a goal scoring machine, as he has bagged forty six goals in his career with Valencia so far, while picking up numerous assists.
It is now a wait to see how Arsenal proceed with the signing of Mata and/or if they miss out on another great opportunity.
