Valentia Tango to take down Clonlost Michael in the Divers Trophy Race
The Grade A1 Divers Trophy Race will see the competition between Cape Maldini, Monaghan Jack, Marazion Magic, Valentia Tango, Big Bad Brad and Clonlost Michael. The 480 metres flat race is scheduled for Saturday, 28th July at Monmore, and it will
offer the winner of the race the £161 prize money.
The most credible, accomplished and lightly raced entry for the race today is, Kinloch Brae’s two-year-old black son, Valentia Tango. He started his racing career at Monmore and since then has raced at Kinsley and most recently at Hove during the short span
of time.
Four out of the seven outings that he under took ever since his career took off were wins and even those attempts that he did miss were two second scores and a third position.
He has raced over three different distances, 480 metres, 462 metres and 515 metres. The two-year-old was the most successful over 480 metres as that is the distance over which he posted his debut hat-trick. All the three legs of the hat-trick were over the
similar distance.
The Hove track debut of the Chris Allsopp trained did not transform into a win rather saw him finishing the race as the runner-up.
On 21st July, 2012, she set second to the winner, Joscar, who concluded the 515 metres race in 30.04 seconds by the margin of four lengths at Hove. Today it is the second chance for Valentia Tango to revive his rankings and his chances of success
today are backed by 11 to 4.
He has experienced racing at the new venue already and the distance today is the one over which the two-year-old out of, Magpie Tango, enjoys racing and winning.
Valentia Tango will need to look out for the K. Bebbington trained, Clonlost Michael, who very recently struck a back-to-back but suffered at the hands of the third position in what was supposed to the third leg of the hat-trick. He might just be in the
mood to bounce back and become the first one through the wire tonight.
Daves Mentor’s black and white son is far more experienced than the lightly raced than Valentia Tango.
