Valentine 1 radar detector pricing question.?

For some reason the Valentine one radar detector is $399 on the official website, and $499 everywhere else. Is there a newer version out that is $499? Why wouldn't this version be out on the website?

There is no newer version. Some resellers try to mark up the price and sell it for a profit. I had one of these for about a year and a half before my Camaro SS was broken into and it was stolen. I loved it. Only problem was that it goes off a LOT and is very sensitive. Best detector on the market, but it picks up all radar (even if its a false alarm) from a very long distance.
