Valentino Rossi believes they need to work on the acceleration of their Ducati – MotoGP news
Valentino Rossi of Ducati finished the Japanese Grand Prix at 7th position.
He is satisfied with his performance and believes that they achieved the maximum they could have with their bike. He told that yet they have a lot of work to do to improve their bike.
He believes that they did the best they could have over the whole of weekend in Japan. He told that he was comfortable with his bike however it was the maximum they could have achieved with their bike. He added that they are struggling with the pace of their
bike.
Rossi said, “I think we did the best that we could over the whole weekend. We worked well on the bike, and I had a good setting for the race today. Unfortunately, this is our potential at the moment, and our pace still isn’t at the same level as the others,
especially in the early laps.”
Furthermore, the Italian rider told that he pushed his bike as hard as he could during the race. He believes they are getting consistency with their bike especially after introducing new chassis and swingarm but still there is a lot of work to be done to
make it competitive with other riders. He added that they are struggling with the acceleration of their bike as the tyre spin a lot when they are exiting slower corners.
“We still lose a lot on acceleration, where we’re not able to put all the horsepower to the ground because the tyre spins too much, especially exiting the slower corners. Anyway, we’ll try our best until the end and see how it goes,” he added.
Rossi has been working hard to improve the performance of his bike. He told that he will keep pushing hard to achieve impressive results with his bike so he may be able to provide a solid platform for the rider who will replace him for the next 2013 season.
Let’s see how the seven times world champion performs until the current 2012 season ends because for the next season he will be joining his former Yamaha Factory Racing again.
