Valentino Rossi focussing at Indianapolis after decisive summer break – MotoGP news
Valentino Rossi of Ducati has now started focusing on the upcoming Indianapolis Grand Prix after a busy summer break he spent finalising decision about his contract.
The Italian Rider said that he utilized the summer break in making decisions about his future contract but he wants to concentrate on the areas he lacks so that he may improve his performance during the weekend.
He said, “This break served as an opportunity to make important decisions for the future, but now I want to return to thinking about the races because we want to improve and during the weekend it’s important to focus completely on what we have to do on the
track.”
Furthermore, he said that Indianapolis is not among his favourite circuits although he has won a race on that circuit. He added that this is a particular track which goes in the anti-clock wise direction therefore it is not same as other tracks.
“Indianapolis isn’t one of my favourite circuits, although I do have a win there. It’s a particular track because it’s one of those that goes in the opposite direction, so the lines are a bit strange in many of the corners,” he said.
Moreover, Rossi said that although Indianapolis is a challenging track but they will try their best to give impressive performance.
In the last 2011 season, Rossi was only able to make it to the 10th place. He has not been able to give impressive performances since he joined Ducati. In the current season, he has only been able to make it to the podium in the France Grand Prix. He was
able to win the Indianapolis GP, last time, in 2009.
The Italian rider has finalized his contract with team Yamaha for the next 2013 season. It will be after two years that he will be riding with his old teammate Jorge Lorenzo. According to the reports, his contract with the team is highly appreciated and
he is being welcomed with all the due respect.
It will be interesting to see the performances of the Italian and the Spanish rider in the next season as they will be teaming up together after solving a lot of disputes.
