Valentino Rossi joins team Ducati for the next season
Valentino Rossi has finally left the Yamaha team and has joined the Italian Ducati team to race in the next season starting from 2011. The Italian champ racer has signed a two-year deal with Ducati team and is very excited about the new contract.
The superstar Italian ace racer has been with the Yamaha team for previous 7 years and is hunting for new challenges with Ducati now. While talking about his relationship with Fiat Yamaha team, Valentino Rossi said that it was more than something special to him as he couldn’t define or express his feelings in words. Rossi added that it was time to move on and face new challenges, as his job with the Yamaha team had come to an end. He went on to add that he had no regrets regarding his new contract and that he got a chance to spend the best time of his life with his Yamaha team. Valentino expressed his feelings emotionally regarding his former team and said that most of the love stories have unfortunate endings but they depart with wonderful memories, which a person can never forget.
Rossi, who is still struggling to grab his old prime back, is excited to meet new dares with his Italian team Ducati. In his recent race, the Italian racer finished at the fifth position, which is no doubt a remarkable effort because he is still recovering from his broken leg. The seven-time world champion Italian sensation will fill the vacant place of Australian former world number one veteran racer Casey Stoner in the Ducati team. It is to be remembered that Stoner has left for the Honda team. Now Yamaha team will be joined by an American talented racer Ben Spies. Spies will now race with Jorge Lorenzo in the Yamaha team, which will help him sharpen his skill and improving his racing. The Spaniard Lorenzo is enjoying the best time of his life, as he is leading the table convincingly. The win in the Czech Grand Prix on Sunday was his seventh successive MotoGp win of the season.
Lin Jarvis the boss of Yamaha motor events rewarded honour to Valentino Rossi and said that he had an amazing time with Rossi. He added that the seven years of working together made them like one closely knit family and Yamaha team would never forget the importance of Rossi and always support him in the future. It is to be remembered that before Rossi, the Yamaha team was considered as a middle-ranked team. With the help, passion and talent of this 31-year-old Italian, the team Yamaha has now become one of the best racing teams in the world.
On the other hand, Ducati is happy to have Rossi with them for the next season. While talking to the media, the boss of Ducati Gabriele Del Torchio expressed his views, and said that he is very happy to see Rossi in the Ducati team. He added that he is feeling amazing, while announcing about the incident as Rossi will race for the team from next year.
Ducati General Director Filippo Preziosi expressed his views about Valentino Rossi and said that it is great to have Valentino in the squad. He went on to say that Rossi is one of the most brilliant racers the MotoGP will ever have. Preziosi went on to say that Rossi’s opinions about the motorbikes are very important because he is an excellent observer, so it will be a great experience to work with such a champ racer. Later Filippo said that working with Valentino will help them improve their bikes specifications, and it is an honour for an engineer to work with a person who has remarkable experience and matchless talent.
The retirement of Valentino Rossi from Yamaha is certainly not an easy pill to swallow for the Yamaha team. But with the addition of Ben Spies the team is hoping high to keep their rank at the top.
