Valentino Rossi says that he has not decided to leave Ducati – MotoGP news
Valentino Rossi of Ducati has not yet decided that is moving away from Ducati.
He said that Ducati has offered him less as compared to the past. However, he says that it is not an important factor in making a choice about the team with which he will sign his contract for the next year.
Furthermore, he said that it is expected that Ducati is offering more than Yamaha, therefore if money was important he would have signed the contract with Ducati.
Rossi said, “Actually Ducati has made me a lower offer compared to the past. But this is not the important thing: with Ducati I'd get more money than with Yamaha anyway, so if money was important I would have already made my choice.”
The Italian rider said that for him, considerable factor is to get back to the winning streak he had. He said that there are two ways to achieve his objective either by taking an already competitive bike or by making modifications to the existing bike which
is a lengthy process.
He added that, “[What counts is] to get back to winning ways. There are two ways to get there: to pick an already competitive bike, or to take a fascinating long-term gamble in trying to sort out this bike with Audi's help.”
Furthermore, he said that he is not sure about his decision and it will completely be based upon guesswork.
He added that on the other side there is another perspective of winning with three different teams which is also attractive. These are the reasons due to which he is unsure about his future.
He said that he respects Jorge Lorenzo and he respects him, in response to the statement passed by Jorge Lorenzo that he deserved a competitive bike. Moreover, he said that he too thinks that he deserves a competitive bike.
The seven-time world championship has however been unable to give impressive performance since the last two seasons. He is looking towards improving his performance in the next season. This is the reason due to which his decision about signing contract is
being delayed.
