Valentino Rossi unsure about his contract for the 2013 season – MotoGP news
Following the announcement made by Ben Spies of leaving Yamaha Factory Racing in 2013, rumours are rife that Valentino Rossi will be replacing him in the next season.
Valentino Rossi, currently racing for the Ducati team said that he has not decided anything about his contract for the next year. He said that he is having talks with the Ducati team but has not reached to any conclusion until now. He added that the talks
are related to some important points related to the contract.
Rossi has not denied that he has the option of going to Yamaha or some other team. He said that he has some other options as well related to his future in season 2013. The Italian rider added that the decision related to his contract will soon be disclosed.
Moreover, he said that he will decide about his contract in the upcoming summer break.
Talking about the U.S Grand Prix, the Italian rider said that they will be going to Laguna Seca with the more or less same bike as it was in Mugello.
He added that the upcoming grand prix is different than most of other circuits as the track is wavy and old style.
He added that he like the track though. Furthermore, he said that they need to start the race with high speed, but he is unable to achieve that in the start of the race. He believes that this is the problematic area and they will be working on this issue
in the upcoming grand prix.
The Italian said, “The situation is quite clear. I still haven’t decided, as it is a bit too early. I have spoken a lot with Ducati about next year, but still waiting for some important ties and some important things on the contract. And I also have some
other options for next year. But I think the situation will be clearer in the next weeks, and I think in the summer break I will decide about next year.”
“More or less we have the same bike from Mugello, and we have to wait a bit more for something different,” Rossi said.
