Valentino Rossi will be the sole rider for Ducati at Czech Republic Grand Prix – MotoGP news
Nicky Hayden in the upcoming Czech Republic Grand Prix will not accompany Valentino Rossi of Ducati.
Hayden faced a crash at turn 13 during the qualifying round of the Indianapolis Grand Prix.
The team manager of Ducati, Vittoriano Guareschi, said that with the only rider, Rossi, they will try to recover after the two very challenging United States and Indianapolis Grands Prix. He added that the Italian rider likes the Automotodrom Brno circuit
and has won many races there. Furthermore, he said that Rossi had a decent race on the circuit last year.
He said, “With Valentino we’ll work to recover after two very challenging races. He likes Brno, he has won many races there, and last year he had a decent race.”
Rossi said that he is happy to race again in a few days after the two challenging races at Laguna Seca and Indianapolis. He added that the upcoming two weeks are very important for the rest of the season.
Furthermore, he said that he likes the Brno circuit and expects to do better in the upcoming Czech Republic GP. He added that last year he had a good record with Ducati in terms of the gap to the leading positions.
He said, “I expect to do better in the Czech Republic, as it’s a track that I like and that is more ‘normal’.”
Moreover, he said that they will have two days of testing at Misano World Circuit, there they will try some new things which will help them to be faster in the remainder of the season.
Rossi said, “Then next week we’ll have two days of testing at Misano, where we’ll have some new things to try that I hope will help us to be faster in the last part of the season.”
The crash Hayden faced at Indianapolis was severe in nature and left him unconscious for some time. His team told that he will stay in United States to recover. Furthermore, it is told that he will return for the San Marino Grand Prix and the team will not
be going with any replacement for him during Czech Republic GP.
It will be interesting to see the performance of the Italian rider, representing Ducati alone for the upcoming Grand Prix.
