After finishing the first half on a high as they scored a late goal through Andy Carroll, Liverpool started the secondly half strongly just like the first one despite trailing Valerenga by two goals courtesy of their sloppy defending
in the first 45 minutes of the preseason friendly encounter in Oslo, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Norway-c2974.
In the 46th minute, Charlie Adam was down on the ground wriggling in pain after a reckless tackle on the half way line but shortly after the former Blackpool player showcased his fitness by unleashing a brilliant shot
at Valerenga’s goal. Unluckily, the Scottish playmaker’s effort just missed the goal by a few inches as the score line remained 2-1 in favour of the home side.
In the 50th minute of the match, Adam had a wonderful chance to slide an incisive through ball for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Henderson-c19102 who found himself in an advanced position but the Liverpool midfielder dwelt on the ball for a second
too long and as a result he was dispossessed quickly at the edge of the Valerenga penalty area.
In the 53rd minute, Andy Carroll had the ball in the back of the Valerenga net but his goal was disallowed by the referee as he was adjudged to have pushed his marker in the back to create space for himself inside the
home team’s penalty area.
In the 54th minute, Kuyt switched the play for Liverpool as he found Downing on the right hand touch line but disappointingly enough, the Englishman’s cross was a woeful one as it sailed out of play and failed to find
any of the Liverpool players inside the Valerenga penalty area.
In the 55th minute, Adam found Robinson on the left hand side with a raking aerial ball which showcased his passing range along with his accuracy but Liverpool were let down by their young full back’s control as his
first touch was too heavy and the ball rolled out of play.
In the 56th minute, Liverpool were on the back foot as Singh played a delightful one-two routine with Nielsen but Reina read the striker’s attention and came out to collect the cross which was directed at him inside
the Liverpool penalty area. In the 57th minute, Henderson wasted a chance to play in Downing in behind the Valerenga defence as he applied too much power on his through ball for his compatriot.
In the 61st minute, Valerenga made their first change of the night as Strandberg was replaced by Skoomo for the home team. In the 62nd minute, Haidar almost added to Valerenga’s lead in Oslo but his shot which
was deflected en route to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-Reina-c29672 was expertly tipped away by the Spanish goalkeeper.
