Valeri Nepomniachi lashes out on media in FC Tom Tomsk match fixing scandal
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Tom-Tomsk-c39228 head coach, Valeri Nepomniachi, has distanced the Sibiryaki from match fixing scandals and blamed the media for making up stories. Reports in Russia suggest that the White-Greens fixed the matches against Anzhi Makhachkala, Spartak Nalchik,
Terek Grozny and FK Amkar Perm.
Tom Tomsk have managed to win just four wins in their entire campaign this season.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shandong-Luneng-c40496 boss hit out at the speculations by revealing that the media is pressurizing the team in order to affect the team results. The manager revealed that the envious forces cannot believe that Tomsk are playing their seventh successful
season in the Russian top division, despite their financial instability.
Nepomniachi quashed the speculations connecting his team to match fixing scandals by insisting that he is ready to accept a criminal charge if the Russian Football Union finds him guilty.
"I take these statements as a personal affront and an insult to the club. I would help RFU to gather some material and ask them for a detailed study of them. I'm ready to bet with anyone having information about the fixed matches and if they found us guilty,
I will certainly accept a criminal case.” Nepomniachi was quoted as saying.
The experienced manager explained that the criticizing forces should visit the locker room to see the commitment of the players towards the club.
The former Lokomotiv Moscow boss, Yuri Krasnozhan, had previously been sacked due to an alleged matter of match fixing against the wild division. Nepomniachi insisted that the image of the Russian football is deeply suffering with these types of allegations.
“I am with both hands against match-fixing. I understand that it is an evil that hinders the development of Russian football. But when it comes to Tomsk, I think someone wants to stab our team” The 67-year-old concluded.
FC Tom Tomsk are currently on the twelfth spot on the league table and preparing for their next league encounter against Spartak Nalchik in order to claim some much needed points.
