FC Alania Vladikavkaz president, Valery Gazzaev, has urged the Russian national football team to reach the later stages of the Euro 2012, and expressed his thoughts on d**k Advocaat’s imminent departure from the team after the

a contract that will come into action on July 1.
Gazzaev heaped praise on Advocaat, admitting that the 64-year-old is a top professional, and pointed out his success rate during his entire managerial career. Advocaat managed to win Eredivisie, Scottish Premier League, Russian
Premier League, UEFA Cup, KNVB Cup and UEFA Super Cup during his professional managerial career.
“We have to respect the decision of the experienced professional. As I understand, Advocaat wants to try something new. For us, his decision may be unexpected but it's we have to respect his decision.” The former Dynamo Moscow
manager was quoted as saying.
Gazzaev went on to admit that the Russian national team has the potential of performing at the bigger stage, as they have a lot of talented players at their disposal. The former Lokomotiv Moscow striker urged Alexei Berezutski,

Arshavin and Pavlyuchenko have not impressed since making a return to the Russian top division in January while the Berezutski brothers have been struggling to remain fit this year.
Speaking on Russian Football Union’s decision to impose a limit on foreign players within a respective team, Gazzaev insisted the management to carefully examine the situation before making any decision.
He went on to request the union to allow the Russian outfits to extend the limit to eight players.
“Clubs that have the ability to buy qualified foreign players should have in this respect more freedom. Otherwise the Russian teams will continue to struggle in bigger tournaments like UEFA Champions League.” Gazzaev concluded.
