Andrey Chernyshov has discussed Unai Emery and Slaven Bilic’s appointment at Spartak Moscow and Lokomotiv Moscow respectively
Former Sturm Graz defender, Andrey Chernyshov, believes that Spartak Moscow should not have sacked Valery Karpin at Luzhniki stadium, following the club’s impressive achievement to secure UEFA Champions League qualification.
The Moscow-based club will play in the most prestigious tournament in Europe next season, having claimed the 2nd spot on the Russian Premier League table.
Chernyshov went on to express his surprise over Karpin’s departure, conceding that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 manager would have solved the growing problems at Moscow, had he remained in charge next season.
Unai Emery has replaced Karpin at Luzhniki earlier this week after signing a reportedly two-year contract with the Russian outfit.
“I was not pleasing to see Valery Karpin’s departure. He built this team, he created it, but now Spartak wants to pass it on to someone else. It is not entirely correct. If I had the power to stop Karpin, I would have kept him
at Moscow."
“Karpin has created Spartak, which everyone wants to see. Though Spartak suffered devastating defeats during the last round but eventually they had a decent season." The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Chernyshov conceded that Emery will struggle to guide the Red-whites towards trophies, and gave the example of Michael Laudrup. The Danish tactician received a boot after Spartak suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat in the Russian
Cup against Dynamo Moscow.
Speaking on Slaven Bilic’s appointment at Lokomotiv stadium, Chernyshov has hailed the Croatian national team manager, admitting that the 43-year-old has all the attributes to become a successful manager in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991.
The former West Ham United manager has signed a three-year contract at the Moscow-based club after replacing Jose Couceiro. The Railroaders parted company with their former manager, Couceiro, following Lokomotiv’s poor league campaign.
Worse still, Lokomotiv will not play in Europe after finishing 7th in the league table.
“I think Bilic is a good manager better. I do not believe in Couceiro. He did not have any accomplishment in the past prior to joining the Lokomotiv.” Chernyshov concluded.
