Spartak Moscow manager demands players learn from their mistakes after Russian Premier League defeat against CSKA Moscow and urged Bilyaletdinov to improve.
Spartak Moscow remain at the fifth spot on the Russian Premier League table despite suffering a 2-1 defeat against CSKA Moscow at Luzhniki stadium. Dynamo Moscow’s defeat against Zenit St. Petersburg ensured that no ground was
lost in their quest for UEFA Champions League qualification.
Although Spartak dominated the first half of the match for long spells, they failed to score the opening goal of the match. The Red-whites conceded a late winner after scoring the equalizer during the second period.
The Myaso head coach, Valery Karpin, has blasted his team after they surrendered against the Moscow-based club, urging his team to alter the situation if they are to qualify for a European spot this season.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-CF-c40864 manager bemoaned the slow start to the match and admitted that their second-half performance led to the shocking defeat. Karpin went one step further to question his player’s European ambitions.
Their latest league defeat means Spartak are yet to win a match ever since the third league round has started. As things stand, the Russian outfit are a point short of the third-spot.
Karpin went on to admit that the league defeat was hard to take and ranked it amongst their poorest performances ever.
“I have seen the videos of the match and I think this was our worst performance over the past five months. We struggled to defend. We made silly and ridiculous mistakes during the second half. I think the critics should blame the
players rather than the manager.” The Intertoto Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Speaking on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yuri-Zhirkov-c37683.
“We expect more from Bilyaletdinov but he needs time to settle down. Look at Zhirkov It took him five games to get in a better shape.” Karpin concluded.
